Girl U Want was from Devo's third studio album Freedom Of Choice released in 1980. Warner Brothers actually chose to release the track as the first single from album and not Whip It, which is now considered Devo's biggest hit. Girl U Want did not chart when it was released, which was strange considering is was probably one of Devo's most commercial sounding records to that date. The track would later appear on the soundtrack to the 1995 film Tank Girl but as a new re-recorded version which was slower with more guitars and less synth. In August 1984 Howard Jones release The 12" Album which was a collection of extended and remixed versions of his previous hits. On the compilation the new composition Like To Get To Know You Well was included and was released as a single. The single climbed to #4 on the UK Singles Chart is probably Jones' biggest hit.
